THE HOLY LAND The onshore excursion takes you to Jerusalem to see Knesset (Parliament), the Mount of Olives, the Kidron Valley and Gethsemane Church. Then walk through the Old City to the Wailing Wall, through the Colourful Bazaar and Via Dolorosa to the Holy Sepulchre and Golgotha. The tour continues on to Bethlehem and through the Jaffa Gate. After lunch you visit the Church of the Nativity and the Nativity Grotto before returning through South Jerusalem to the port. The onshore excursion takes you to Cairo to visit the
Egyptian Museum where you can see some of the finest antiquities ever discovered.
Including the treasures from the Tomb of Tut Ankh Amon. Lunch boxes are provided by the
ship, so there is more time to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx close by. The on to
a Papyrus factory where you have the opportunity to see how Papyrus is made. Before
returning to Port Said, we call at an oriental souvenir shop.
